Mid-Frequency Power Supply For Electrostatic Precipitators
The Redkoh mid-frequency system provides the advantages of higher frequency systems while permitting the use of existing transformer-rectifiers and interconnecting wiring. The control system can be housed in existing TR controls cabinets, or can be furnished in new cabinets.
Transformer Rectifier (TR) Control Cabinets
New TR controls in cabinets of varying sizes and designs can be provided. We have a full line of traditional stand alone or bussed cabinets as well as the capability to supply custom cabinet designs. Our standard TR controls are sized up to 600 amps, and 600 volts. Custom ratings are available. UL and CSA certification is also available.
TR Control Upgrade Package
You do not have to replace your existing TR control cabinets to upgrade to the newest microprocessor based controls. Our conversion packages make upgrading existing controls quick and easy. Our TR control conversion package can replace any manufacturers’ control.
Rapper Controls
Our rapper controls can energize impulse type rappers, electric AC vibrators, electric DC vibrators, and air solenoids for pneumatic vibrators and air horns. Indoor, outdoor, heated, and air conditioned cabinets can be provided. UL and CSA certification is also available.
Communications Interface (CAN-Transceiver)
Redkoh’s CAN-Transceiver is a communication gateway between our standalone TR and rapper controls and a plant DCS/PLC. Data and parameter changes available at the stand alone control cabinets are made available to the DCS/PLC. Modbus RTU is the standard protocol, but other protocols are available.
PrecipCommander Central Control
This full fledged central computer system allows the stand alone controls to be operated from a remote location. Screens are presented in a graphical form for ease of operator use, as well as tabular form for data analysis. Historical information is stored to magnetic or optical media for future viewing. Data can also pass to the DCS/PLC for report generation.
Voltage Dividers
In order to measure the secondary voltage (precipitator voltage) it is necessary to have a voltage divider resistor on the output of the TR. Redkoh can supply new external and internal voltage dividers as well as repair services for “old” voltage dividers.
Transducer
For those customers who would like to have electrical levels as analog (4-20ma) signals at the DCS, we can supply a transducer box that will provide primary and secondary voltage and current, as well as spark rate as 4-20ma signals.
SCR Assemblies
Existing stud mount SCR assemblies and hockey puck SCR assemblies can be replaced with modern “brick” type SCR assemblies that are quicker to change out and safer than the other types.
TR Output Bushings and Diode Stacks
Redkoh has a working relationship with TR output bushing manufacturers. We can usually find a replacement bushing for any age and any manufacturers TR.We can also supply new replacement diode stacks as well as rebuild those that are no longer available new.
Current Limiting Reactors (CLRs) are an integral part of the TR control system. They reduce inrush currents and help protect the TR.
